Well time flies, the Apollo gigs were over 4 yrs ago!

raverbabe - i booked in at the Holiday Inn too, pricey but worth being so close, and according to my Chinese friend the restaurant there has the best Dim Sum in London!

Which Holiday Inn is that?
I got tickets for the 24th and 25th of August and haven't figured out where to stay yet.. The Controversy club; oh glory days!

Find the back gate of Buckingham Palace and ring the bell. When prompted, speak into the intercom and ask for either Liz or Phil. Tell 'em I sent you.

Warning: they like to party 'til dawn.

i'm going to the 21st sept show. i don't think anybody knows anything about the GAO seats for sure yet.

i won a front row seat from the ticketmaster 'front row auction' before buying the VIP package for the same show, so now i have ended up with tickets for the same show.

There are three of us going on the 21st and we are booked into the Holiday Inn. But the rate we've been quoted for a triple room is £210. Where did you find the leisure saver option? Anyway will see you there, sounds like an Org party at the Holiday Inn!

if u goto the holiday inn web site .if u look to the right hand side there are options underneath travel arrangement block there is a block that says leisure breaks ...click this..then click go discover ..you will see the rooms for 49.00 pounds option...click that ..then ull see bed and breakfast for 49.00 pounds per room per night ...click on that ...then it will come up with a hotel search 4 u ...search you hotel and there u go.....should save you quite a bit of money too .....so looks like there are going to be quite a few of us staying there ..then....

Anyone know about what time one can park until in the O2 car park? I'm considering driving up for the 21st as I suspect there may be some after show activity and thought it may be handy to have my car ready whatever time the show ends, but the O2 parking policy says no overnight parking. Sounds silly given that shows at the O2 indigo could go on until way past midnight and they're already charging £20!

I wondered about that too... but it'd be silly if you couldn't keep your car there until after show, considering you already paid 20 quid plus TM fees.

Thanks a million. That's saved us ££££££££££££. Have now got an identical room to the one we had before but for £84 rather than £209. Thanks again, Clare.

Is the Docklands anywhere near the O2 ... they seem to offer good rates at the moment (Greenwich would be 100 pounds more expensive at the moment ...)

As far as I know its just across the river - not far at all. I was planning on staying there before I got the good deal in the Express by Holiday Inn, next to the Arena.

It depends ... being right across the river can still be very far away wink depends whether there is a bridge nearby or they are connected by tube and that's what I don't know ...

damn!

Well as I said I was sussing out a few hotels over in the docklands area and they are all within easy access of the arena by tube and apparently there is a ferry that brings you accross the river late at night, after concerts at the arena.

I just followed the details given by ravebabe and got rooms for the 10th & 11th August at the Holiday Inn Express at £59 a nite, when I was previously quoted £189 a nite. So there is still affordable availability.

I booked a room from 15->17/09 ... thanks to the org for the great tips biggrin
Now I only have to find a way to get from Belgium to London on the cheap ... and I guess the cheapest way will be the train :s

I tried to book a cheap room for the 11th August but ended up costing £189 when I booked it about a week ago. I just the same night and the same room price again and its now £171!
I have cancelled my previous reservation!

By the way if you are travelling by train get your tickets now and you can get a bargain - its cheaper further in advance!
